Operation Table Top

'Table Top' was a US airborne operation to parachute a small force onto Manawarat on Leyte island in the Japanese-occupied Philippine islands group (20 November/5 December 1944).

The undertaking delivered 241 men of Company C, 127th Airborne Engineering Battalion, the 1st Platoon of Company C, 187th Parachute/Glider Infantry, the 221st Airborne Medical Company, the headquarters group of the 511th Parachute Signal Company, and the Reconnaissance Platoon of Major General Joseph M. Swing’s US 11th Airborne Division.
