Operation TX

'TX' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Tripoli, Libya, to Alexandria, Egypt, and as such reciprocals of the 'XT' series (September 1943/August 1944).

The first of these 41 convoys was TX.1 of 10/15 September 1943 with the 1,597-ton Norwegian Evviva, 7,129-ton British Fort George, 6,254-ton British Pellicula and 1,291-ton Norwegian Promise, and the last was TX.29 of 2/7 August 1944 with the 1,847-ton British Cid, 1,431-ton British Galway Coast, Dutch Hermes I, 1,817-ton British Stanforth.
