Operation Wreckage

'Wreckage' was a British low-level daylight air sweep against Bremen by 28 Bristol Blenheim light bombers of Air Vice Marshal D. F. Stevenson’s No. 2 Group of Air Marshal Sir Richard Peirse’s RAF Bomber Command, and also six Handley Page Halifax heavy bombers (30 June 1941).

This was a raid undertaken with the aid of cloud cover, and the bombers attacked Bremen (17 aircraft) as well as Kiel, Norderney and Sylt. The British loses were one Blenheim and one Halifax.
