Operation Airthief

'Airthief' was a British unrealised plan for a two-man team to land by canoe in a part of German-occupied northern France close to an airfield, and for one of the men then to seize a Focke-Wulf Fw 190 single-engined fighter, just after its engine had been started, and fly the aeroplane to the UK for technical examination and operational assessment (August 1942).
