'Bär' (i) was an Axis unrealised plan for the co-operation of significant Italian army forces with Generaloberst Wilhelm Ritter von Leeb’s Heeresgruppe 'C' to crush any determined resistance by the French forces of the southern part of Général d’Armée André Gaston Prételat’s 2ème Groupe d’Armées and the whole of Général d’Armée Antoine Marie Benoit Besson’s 3ème Groupe d’Armées (10ème, 7ème and 6ème Armées) in Alsace (April 1940).
