Operation Bjørn East

This was British operation by the Special Operations Executive to improve on ‘Bjørn West’ in German-occupied Norway (December 1944).

As the area to be covered by the ‘Bjørn West’ base was so large, it was decided to divide it into two by the establishment of the ‘Bjørn East’ base near Vossevangen. The preliminary party of four man, comprising Captain O. Berentsen, J. Akslen, K. Nordgron and L. Olsen was delivered by sea.
