Operation Chatter

'Chatter' was a British proposal, not adopted for implementation, for a deception undertaking to support 'Bodyguard' by persuading the Germans that the Allies had delayed their planned opening of a 'second front' in Europe so that time could be found for discussions with Iosif Stalin in an inter-Allied conference to reach agreement that any such 'second front' would be limited to Norway (early 1944).
