Operation Chuck

'Chuck' was a British air and naval undertaking to interfere with the movement of German shipping to and from ports of German-occupied Norway by the laying of dummy mines in the entrances to fjords and ports and attacking the lighthouses at Skongenes, Nord Vaagsö and Kråkenes with concrete-piercing rockets and 20-mm cannon fire from Bristol Beaufighter twin-engined heavy fighters of Wing Commander E. W. Pierce’s No. 404 Squadron RCAF (12 March 1945).
