Operation Deficient

'Deficient' was the British advance of Brigadier T. W. Rees’s Indian 21st Brigade Group of Major General W. J. Slim’s Indian 10th Division from Haditha up the Euphrates river in Iraq to Raqqa and thence to Aleppo in northern Syria as part of the Allied 'Exporter' reduction of the Vichy French territories of Lebanon and Syria (8 June/14 July 1941).
