Operation DML8

'DML8' was a British naval undertaking to lay a deep-line minefield to the east of the Outer Gabbard in the North Sea (16/19 February 1940).

The undertaking began on 16 February as the minesweeper Franklin laid the marker buoys associated with operation, which was undertaken by the auxiliary minelayer Teviot Bank, later aided by the minelaying destroyers Esk and Express, escorted by the destroyers Boadicea and Keith. The minelaying force returned to Immingham on 19 February.
