Operation Foxrock

'Foxrock' was a British uncompleted special forces operation, conceived after the success of 'Chariot' against St Nazaire, for a part of No. 12 Commando to land and destroy the entrance to the Somme Canal and other installations at St Valéry sur Somme in German-occupied northern France (1/2 June 1942).

The operation was abandoned when the craft taking the assault force to France was spotted by a German patrol vessel.
