'Hackfleisch' was a German operation against the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito operating in the area of German-occupied Yugoslavia bounded by Kladanj, Vlasenica, Sokoloac and Olovo (3 August/mid-August 1944).

SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS Carl Reichsritter von Oberkamp’s 7th SS Gebirgsdivision 'Prinz Eugen', together with the 1/28th Gebirgsjägerregiment and 2/27th SS Gebirgsjägerregiment of SS-Brigadeführer und Generalmajor der Waffen-SS Desiderius Hampel’s 13th SS Gebirgsdivision 'Handschar' (kroatische Nr 1) started their advances on 3 August from Vares, Ribinica and Kladanj.

The Yugoslav III Corps fell back toward Srebrenica while the Yugoslav XII Corps retreated toward Foča, where it tried without success to cross the Drina river. Although the German encirclement was successful, the partisan forces managed to slip out of the net in small parties.
