Operation Haircut

'Haircut' was a US deception planned and implemented as a supplement to the 'Rosebud' deception intended to validate Lieutenant General George S. Patton’s fictional US 1st Army Group, and simulated an amphibious assault in Studland Bay and subsequent ground training by two fictitious components (293rd Infantry and 467th Field Artillery) of the notional 17th Division (July 1944).
