Operation HC

'HC' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Calcutta to Chittagong, India, and as such reciprocals of the 'CH' series (October 1943/December 1944).

The first of the series was HC.1 of 24/26 October 1943 with three British ships in the form of the 3,958-ton Jaladurga, 5,407-ton Risaldar and 4,701-ton Varsova, and the last was HC.90 of 13/14 December 1944 with three British ships in the form of the 5,108-ton Egra, 5,879-ton Islami and 4,701-ton Varsova.
