'Ida' (ii) was a German complex of defensive measures ordered by Generalfeldmarschall Maximilian Reichsfreiherr von Weichs, the Oberbefehlshaber 'Südost', against the possibility of an Allied landing on the Istrian peninsula at the head of the Adriatic Sea (12 January 1944 onward).
