Operation Veracity II

'Veracity II' was a British air raid by Air Marshal Sir Richard Peirse’s RAF Bomber Command against German naval units in the harbour of Brest in German-occupied north-western France (30/31 December 1941).

The raid was undertaken by 16 Handley Page Halifax heavy bombers, and 14 of these aircraft attacked the designated target, losing three of their number and having the 11 others damaged by Flak.
