'Westwind' (ii) was a German series of small-unit attacks by elements of Generaloberst Dr Lothar Rendulic’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord' on the Soviet forces of Marshal Sovetskogo Soyuza Aleksandr M. Vasilevsky’s 3^rd Belorussian Front on the promontory between Königsberg and Pillau to open the way to the south-west in the direction of the Hel peninsula (19/26 February 1945).
