'Amsel' was a U-boat wolfpack operation in the Atlantic against the SC.127 and HX.235 convoys (22 April/3 May 1943).

Until it was divided into the 'Amsel I' and 'Amsel II' packs on 4 May, this wolfpack comprised U-186, U-223, U-266, U-267, U-359, U-377, U-383, U-403, U-448, U-366, U-454, U-466, U-468, U-514, U-525, U-634 and U-709, and neither lost any of its own number nor sank any ship.
