'AP' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical and often a literal suffix) plying the route from Aden to ports of the Persian Gulf, and as such reciprocals of the 'PA' (ii) series (September 1942/February 1945).
The first of these 92 'Aden to Persian Gulf' convoys was AP.1 of 10/16 September 1943 with the 6,999-ton British British Colonel which then continued to Abadan in Iran, 8,553-ton British British Genius and 6,932-ton British British Justice, and the last was AP.75C of 26 January/1 February 1945 with the 6,683-ton US Exchequer escorted by the British frigate Derg.
