'Arena' was an Allied unrealised plan by Lieutenant General Lewis H. Brereton’s Allied 1^st Airborne Army for an air assault by three corps (including Lieutenant General F. A. M. Browning’s British I Airborne Corps and Major General Matthew B. Ridgway’s US XVIII Airborne Corps) to the east of Paderborn in north-western Germany (spring 1945).

It was intended that landings would be made in the region bounded by Kassel, Fritzlau and Hofgeisar to facilitate a ground forces' breakthrough into the heart of Germany through the creation of an airhead of the type that had failed at Arnhem in 'Market' of September 1944.
