Operation Assurance

'Assurance' was a British convoy operation to move Brigadier A. A. E. Filose’s Indian 3rd Motor Brigade from India to the Middle East (22 January/6 February 1941).

The brigade was detached from Major General R. H. Wordsworth’s Indian 31st Armoured Division, and fought its first engagement in Egypt at Mechili on 6 April 1941.
