Operation Barricade

'Barricade' was a British special forces operation by an 11-man party of the Small Scale Raiding Force (No. 62 Commando) against Pointe de Saire near St Vaast on the northern coast of German-occupied France to the south of Barfleur (14/15 August 1942).

The object of the raid was the destruction of a German radar installation and nearby Flak sites, and after the British force had been transported and landed from a motor torpedo boat it killed three German soldiers and wounded another six in exchange for no British casualties.
