The 'Belgorod-Kharkov Strategic Offensive Operation' was the Soviet undertaking, more generally known as 'Polkovodets Rumyantsev', against the German positions in the Belgorod-Kharkov salient to the south of the Soviet-held Kursk salient in the aftermath of the defeat of the German 'Zitadelle' and resulting in the '4th Battle of Kharkov' (3/23 August 1943).
