The 'Blaue-Linie' (ii) was a German largely unbuilt defence line in the lower Alps of northern Italy (1944/45).
Resulting from an order of 27 October 1944, the line extended from the Swiss frontier to the Piave river valley to the south of Longarone, thence to Trieste, and the Gulf of Fiume. The line also included switch lines at Ala and Belluno to block advances from the Gulf of Venice.
