'Blitz' (vi) was a German unrealised plan for an offensive by elements of Generaloberst Ferdinand Schörner’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord' from the area of Raseiniai in Lithuania against the Soviet salient of General Hovhannes Kh. Bagramyan’s 1^st Baltic Front in the area to the west of Jelgava in Latvia (20 September 1944).
