'Borkum I' was a U-boat wolfpack operation by part of the 'Borkum' wolfpack to the west of the Iberian peninsula against the MKS.35 and SL.144 convoys and sundry Allied hunter/killer groups (3/13 January 1944).
The wolfpack comprised U-270, U-305 and U-382, and for the loss of none of its own number sank the British frigate Tweed, which fell victim to a torpedo fired by Kapitänleutnant Rudolf Bahr’s U-305.
