'Braintree' was an Allied deception plan in the Mediterranean theatre (June/July 1944).
Intended to continue the 'story' proposed in 'Ferdinand' (iii) and thereby enhance the latter’s contribution to 'Bodyguard', 'Braintree' was not implemented as 'Bodyguard' was effectively terminated in August 1944 and 'Ferdinand' (iii) was instead extended into the middle of September.
