'Brian' (i) was the British complex of dummy fuel, food and ammunition dumps, as well as fake administrative buildings, field kitchens and transport, constructed within the 'Bertram' deception scheme before the 'Lightfoot' first phase of the 2^nd Battle of El Alamein in an attempt to persuade the Germans and Italians that the British offensive would be delivered somewhat farther to the south than it was in fact made (October 1942).
