'Bribe' was a British convoy, from Southampton to Barry Roads in the UK, of four small merchant vessels (339-ton Empire Snowdrop, 250-ton Jacoba which then steamed independently to Ardrossan, 1,070-ton Melito and 573-ton Strait Fisher which then steamed independently to Birkenhead) and the 4,270-ton dock landing ship Northway(12/13 August 1944).
