'Brimstone' (i) was an Allied unrealised plan for an amphibious landing by US forces at Taranto on the 'arch' of the southern Italian 'foot' (July 1943).

After some consideration, the plan was abandoned in favour of the 'Avalanche' landing at Salerno on the western coast of Italy.
