'Bruiser' (ii) was the British total occupation of the Socotra islands group, a British protectorate some 220 miles (355 km) to the east-north-east of the Horn of Africa, by forces delivered by sea from Aden (June 1942).
The British presence on the island, at the time that 'Bruiser' (ii) started, comprised only the Mori area, where the RAF had built an airfield in 1939.
