Operation C (iv)

'C' (iv) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) steaming from Colombo, Ceylon, for dispersal (April 1942/June 1943).

The first of the series was C.0 which departed Colombo on 21 April 1942 with the 8,078-ton British Doryssa, 2,30-ton British Kwai Sang, 1,667-ton British Livatho and 4,774-ton Greek Michael Livanos, and the 1,106-ton British auxiliary patrol vessel Kelanan, and the last was C.51 of 18/20 June 1943 from Colombo to Trincomalee with the 4,927-ton British Singu and 2,256-ton British Tingsang.
