'Cardaci' was a German and possibly Croat operation against the partisan forces of Josip Broz Tito in the area of Cardaci in the puppet state of Croatia in occupied Yugoslavia (4/6 July 1943).
The undertaking’s objective was the destruction of an undetermined partisan group in the mountains around Cardaci, some 7.5 miles (12 km) to the north-east of Bugojno. The German force comprised elements of Generalleutnant Emil Zellner’s 373rd Division (kroatisch), but the nature of any Croat contribution (if any) is unknown. At this time strong partisan forces were moving through the area toward the road linking Konjić and Sarajevo road. The area was surrounded by the 373rd Division (kroatisch) on 5 July, but the following sweep located no partisans and there were no casualties.
