'Carnegie' was an Allied radio and display deception in Taranto and in the 'Avalanche' beach-head at Salerno in Italy (early September 1943).

Using false radio traffic and the overt display of insignia of formations which were either fictitious or located elsewhere, the deception was intended to persuade the Germans that the Allied strength was greater than it actually was.
