'CRD' was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Casablanca, Morocco, to Dakar, French West Africa, and as such reciprocals of the 'DRC' series (May/November 1944).
The first of these convoys was CRD.1 of 4/12 May 1944 with the 5,549-ton French Fort Archambault and 4,192-ton Vendome, and the last CRD.5 which departed Casablanca on 31 October 1944 with the 6,179-ton French Marrakech.
