The 'Darmstadt-Stellung' was the German final blocking position in front of the 'Panther-Stellung' to the east of Pskov in the Kurland area of the Eastern Front (early 1944).
The position was occupied by Generaloberst Georg Lindemann’s 18th Army of Generalfeldmarschall Walter Model’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord' on 27 February 1944 as it awaited the offensive of General Kirill A. Meretskov’s Volkhov Front and General Markian M. Popov’s 2nd Baltic Front into German-occupied Latvia.
