'Dijon' was a US unrealised operational-level deception plan to facilitate the drive on Metz, in eastern France, by Lieutenant General George S. Patton’s 3^rd Army, by suggesting that the army might be diverted to the south in the direction of Dijon or to the north in the direction of Belgium (25/30 August 1944).
