Operation Diver (ii)

'Diver' (ii) was a British operation by the Special Operations Executive to have P. Skram and T. Jørgen act as military advisers to the district leader of the Milorg military resistance organisation in Ålesund in German-occupied Norway, and in this capacity plan actions to protect local sites, assist the Allies in the event of an invasion, or hamper a German withdrawal (February/May 1945).

The two SOE men and the district leader departed the UK by sea on 13 February, the latter having been given a new directive while in the UK. Contact was to be established with the Milorg’s central leadership in Oslo and his D.21 district was to be extended and divided into three sub-districts. The local Milorg groups were also be built up and trained.
