Operation DK (i)

'DK' (i) was a British unrealised naval undertaking by Admiral Sir Charles Forbes’s Home Fleet to detach part of its strength for an offensive sweep against any German ships in the Kattegat (22/23 September 1939).

The British force was to have comprised the light cruisers Aurora, Glasgow, Sheffield and Southampton, together with the destroyers of the 7th Destroyer Flotilla, and was abandoned after the destroyers Javelin and Jersey had collided.
