'Dodge' (ii) was the British air operation to repatriate British and commonwealth troops of the 8th Army from the central Mediterranean area (July 1945/May 1946).
Most of the flights, which used Avro Lancaster four-engined heavy bombers each adapted for the carriage of 25 men, lifted off from Bari or Pomigliano in southern Italy on their repatriation flights, and landed at a number of air bases in southern England before the men were transported to demobilisation centres.
