Operation Dora (ii)

'Dora' (ii) was a German unrealised plan for an air attack on the port and associated supply dumps of Lagos on the Nigerian coast by Oberst Fritz Heigl’s Kampfgeschwader 200 special-purpose air unit using captured and refurbished Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress four-engined heavy bombers staging through a secret air base in the Sahara desert (1944).
