Operation DR (ii)

'DR' (ii) was the designation of Allied convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Dakar, French West Africa, to Gibraltar or Casablanca (April/October 1944).

The first of this short series was DR.1 of 13/26 April 1944 from Dakar to Gibraltar with five ships including the 813-ton British Empire Gypsy, 4,585-ton British Harberton and 983-ton British Justine C. Allen, and the last was DR.5 of 8/18 October 1944 from Dakar to Casablanca with the 5,644-ton British Empire Opossum.
