'DZ' (ii) was a British naval undertaking by Admiral Sir John Tovey’s Home Fleet to lay a minefield off the coast of German-occupied Norway in the area of Egersund (3 January 1941).
The minelaying was achieved by the destroyers Icarus and Intrepid, which were escorted by the light cruisers Arethusa and Aurora, and the destroyers Bedouin, Matabele, Mashona and Tartar.
