The 'Elektro-Schneise' was a German defensive position in the area of Generaloberst Georg Lindemann’s 18^th Army within Generalfeldmarschall Georg von Küchler’s Heeresgruppe 'Nord' in the vicinity of Gaitolovo in the Volkhov sector of the German-occupied western USSR (1942/43).
