'EON.18' was a Soviet naval undertaking to transfer a group of destroyers from the Pacific to the Arctic Ocean (15 July/14 October 1942).
On 15 July the flotilla leader Baku led the destroyers Razumny, Razyaryonny and Revnostny of Vitse Admiral Ivan S. Yumashev’s Pacific Fleet from Vladivostok on Siberia’s eastern coast. Three days later Revnostny collided in the Tatar Sound with a freighter and had to turn back to Vladivostok for repairs.
The remaining four ships passed the Kurile islands group on 22 July, reached Petropavlovsk on 27 July, and three days later passed to the north through the Bering Strait into the Arctic Ocean to link with the icebreaker Anastas Mikoyan at Tiksi on 14 August. The ships resumed their movement on 19 September, reaching Port Dikson on 24 September and Yugor on 9 October. The ships reached the base of Vitse Admiral Arseni G. Golovko’s Northern Fleet in the Kola inlet on 14 October.
