'ETC' was the designation of Allied military convoys (together with a numerical suffix) plying the route from Southend to the Seine Bay, France, with coasting vessels, and as the reciprocals of the 'FTM' series and the companion to the 'EBC' series from Barry, south Wales (June/October 1944).
Associated with 'Overlord' and subsequent operations in North-West Europe, the first of these 129 convoys was ETC.1 of 5/6 June with 33 merchant vessels and six escorts, and the last was ETC.123 of 9/10 October with the 2,774-ton British Dalewood, 7,176-ton US Francis N. Blanchet and 1,377-ton Estonian Olev.
