'Falke' (iii) was a German unrealised plan for Generalfeldmarschall Erich von Manstein’s Heeresgruppe 'Süd' to undertake a relatively small enveloping movement on the Soviet forces in the area to the east of Kharkov (June/July 1943).
Intended as one of several undertakings in an effort considered by the Germans as a means of regaining the initiative on the Eastern Front, the plan was abandoned in favour of the larger, more ambitious and ultimately fatal 'Zitadelle'.
