'Fanfare' (ii) was an Allied special forces operation to parachute a 18-man party (three British and 15 Italians of the 185o Reggimento paracadutisti 'Nembo') into the rear of the 'Gotisch-Linie' defences in Italy (29 August 1944 onward).
