'Feuerzange' was a German operation against the partisan forces of Marshal Josip Broz Tito in the Dalmatian islands of the Adriatic Sea between Losinj and Sibenik off the coast of German-occupied Yugoslavia (February 1944).
The operation was undertaken by three companies of the 2/891st Grenadierregiment and three companies of the 2/893rd Grenadierregiment in Generalleutnant Albin Nake’s 264th Division, and resulted in Yugoslav losses of five persons killed, an unknown number of persons wounded and four men captured for German losses of five persons wounded and two persons missing.
