'Fritz' (i) was a German planning exercise leading toward the development of 'Barbarossa' (5/17 December 1940).

Adolf Hitler intervened in the process on 17 December, largely with regard to movements to the north and south of the Pripyet marshes, and after the required changes had been incorporated the plan became known as 'Barbarossa'.
